Today seems to be gift idea day! The very useful MUG has 19 cool stores for gifts, many of which are in my neighborhood, and thus I can vouch for them being good places to go. Daily Candy has "Visions for Sugarplums," supposedly gift ideas for your chick friends, but more like cool stuff to buy for yourself. Finally, for a bit of fun, Low Cultture has a Guide to Giving, a slightly snarky parody.
