The great part about January is that it's the end of the financial year for retailers, so they're not only trying to clear out all the merchandise that didn't sell for the holidays (which, depending on which source you believe, didn't exactly go so well for everyone), but they're trying to get rid of as much winter stuff as possible to make room for spring merchandise as well. What that means for you is cashmere sweaters, wool coats, and other cold-weather-friendly items at deep, deep discounts (currently, up to 70% off at most department stores and many boutiques). Of course, considering the warm weather we've been having, it's not like you're going to be able to get much wear out of your winter stuff anyway, but, hey, you can always stock up for next year. On that note...
