TheFind Guest Post: Utility-Inspired Vests For a Versatile Laid-Back Look

While the increasingly chilly weather may start lending itself to the need for warmer, heavy-duty outerwear, vests continue to be a fashion staple in this season's trend report. The military look thrives on in the form of utility vests -- think tomboy-chic, fisherman-inspired (without the swamp sludge and worms, of course -- gross!), and pockets galore (whether you intend to use them or not). Since the look can be a bit, err, woodsy, keep it trendy and chic by pairing with more feminine pieces like a skirt and tights or over-the-knee boots, or opt for takes on the trend that are bit more sultry, like this cargo lace vest by Barlow, or this cropped leather version from Aussie designer Shakuhachi. This J. Crew shearling-lined vest adds a bit of military-inspired roughness to your everyday ensemble, while this one by Blue & Cream takes versatility to a whole new level with its detachable and reversible leather and shearling layer for three vests in one! For something a bit more polished, Tory Burch's version still gives off the military vibe with a bit more feminine flair, thanks to the belted waist and gold hardware!
